SUPPLY LIST AND

PRE-CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS

 ► The Wing Clipper I Tool is required for this class.  The Quilter’s Magic Wand is highly recommended.  These tools are available at Aunt Mary’s Quilting.

   Fabric Requirements:  Choose 3 coordinating fabrics (1 multicolored/focus fabric and 2 fabrics that complement it) plus a light background fabric

             Multicolored/Focus fabric:                                                      1 yard

                        (Setting triangles, migrating geese, outside border)

             1st Coordinating fabric (Orange in example):             5/8 yard

                        (Flower petals, setting triangle border, migrating geese)

             2nd Coordinating fabric (Green in example):                           ¾ yard

                        (Flower base, stems and vase, inner border, migrating geese)

             Light background fabric:                                                        ¾ yard

             Backing:                                                                                  1 3/8 yards

 Bring whatever extra fabric you have, just in case of mis-cuts.

 Pre-cutting Instructions:  From your 4 fabrics, please cut the following:

             Multicolored/Focus Fabric:                 2 squares  5 1/4” x 5 1/4”

                                                                        2 squares  7 7/8” x 7 7/8”

                                                                        4 strips  3” x Width of fabric                                                                                     

            1st Coordinating Fabric:                      2 squares  5 ¼” x 5 ¼”

                                                                        9 squares  3” x 3”

                                                                        3 squares  2 ½” x 2 ½”

                                                                        3 rectangles  2 ½”  x 4 ½”

                                                                        4 strips  1 ¾” x 17 ½”

                                                                        4 strips  1 ¾” x 10 ½”

                                                                        4 strips  1 ¾” x 9 ½”

             2nd Coordinating fabric:                      1 square  9” x 9”

                                                                        2 squares  5 ¼” x 5 ¼”

                                                                        3 squares  3” x 3”

                                                                        3 squares  2 ½” x 2 ½”

                                                                        3 bias strips  1 ½” x 12”                                                                     

            Light Background fabric:                   1 square  9” x 9”

                                                                        3 squares  5 ½” x 5 ½”

                                                                        12 squares  4 7/8” x 4 7/8”

                                                                        1 square  2 7/8” x 2 7/8”

                                                                        12 squares  2 ½” x 2 ½”

                                                                                                                 

 ►  Coordinating or neutral piecing thread

   Rotary cutter with fresh blade

   Cutting mat

   6 ½” x 24 ½” ruler

   Marking pencil or Pigma Pen that draws a fine line and contrasts with the wrong side of your fabrics

  Masking tape or blue painter’s tape

   Sewing machine, clean and oiled, with new needle, ¼” foot; open toe or clear foot

   Basic sewing supplies:  fabric scissors, pins, seam ripper, etc.

   Small iron and pressing surface
